Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive and multifaceted process aimed at facilitating recovery, improving the patient's physical and mental fitness.
The stay is fully reimbursed by the National Health Fund (NFZ) and includes:
- clinical condition assessment
- optimization of pharmacological treatment
- movement therapy, i.e., kinesiotherapy according to cardiac rehabilitation models
- other physiotherapeutic procedures as indicated
- psychological support
- patient education, prevention, and health promotion – lifestyle modification, combating risk factors of ischemic heart disease
- dietary and nutritional consultations (according to medical diet).
The rehabilitation model and exercise load are individually selected based on exercise tests. This stay is intended for people:
- after myocardial infarction
- after cardiac surgery procedures
- with a referral from cardiology, cardiac surgery, internal medicine departments, or from cardiology clinics, rehabilitation clinics.
