The Ustroń Health Resort runs an NFZ-funded rehabilitation program for women after mastectomy, in a stationary mode, as part of the coordinated care KON PIERŚ. The program is implemented in cooperation with the National Oncology Institute in Gliwice and the Bielsko Oncology Center.
The medical program includes:
- health condition assessment,
- consultation with a doctor and physiotherapist,
- rehabilitation program,
- psychoeducational program implemented through relaxation and psycho-oncological therapy,
- educational program including a series of lectures on cancer risk factors, self-massage techniques, anti-edema prevention, and education on diet optimization.
Patients are accommodated at the Health Resort Institute of Health. The program also includes 24-hour medical-nursing care and full board according to the diet.
