Types of stays:
Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive and complex process aimed at facilitating recovery, improving the physical and mental fitness of the patient. The stay is fully covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ) and includes:
clinical condition assessment
optimization of pharmacological treatment
movement therapy, i.e., kinesitherapy according to cardiac rehabilitation models
other physiotherapeutic procedures as indicated
psychological support
patient education, prevention, and health promotion – lifestyle modification, combating risk factors for ischemic heart disease
dietary and nutritional consultations (according to medical diet).
The rehabilitation model and physical load are individually selected based on exercise tests This stay is intended for persons:
after myocardial infarction
after cardiac surgery procedures
having a referral from the cardiology, cardiac surgery, or internal medicine department, or a referral from a cardiology clinic or rehabilitation clinic.
It is a comprehensive program for people who have had a heart attack (KOS), including diagnostics, therapy, rehabilitation, and medical care. It is recommended within 12 months of the heart attack. The stay is fully covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ) and includes:
stay: inpatient cardiological rehabilitation ward in Augustów (11 M. Konopnickiej St., 16-300 Augustów)
full-day meals (according to a medical diet)
health assessment (doctor visits)
24-hour medical and nursing care
treatment with movement, i.e., kinesitherapy according to cardiological rehabilitation models
other physiotherapeutic procedures as indicated
health education
dietary consultations
psychological consultations
monitoring of rehabilitation progress
The rehabilitation model and exercise load are individually tailored based on exercise tests.
