Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive and complex process aimed at facilitating recovery, improving the physical and mental fitness of the patient.
The stay is fully covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ) and includes:
- clinical condition assessment
- optimization of pharmacological treatment
- movement therapy, i.e., kinesitherapy according to cardiac rehabilitation models
- other physiotherapeutic procedures as indicated
- psychological support
- patient education, prevention, and health promotion – lifestyle modification, combating risk factors for ischemic heart disease
- dietary and nutritional consultations (according to medical diet).
The rehabilitation model and physical load are individually selected based on exercise tests
This stay is intended for persons:
- after myocardial infarction
- after cardiac surgery procedures
- having a referral from the cardiology, cardiac surgery, or internal medicine department, or a referral from a cardiology clinic or rehabilitation clinic.
