A lot of people express their enthusiasm for the city of Ustroń. If it’s the first time you’re visiting, however, you certainly won’t be disappointed. The city, located in the Beskid Śląski region, offers numerous attractions. In Ustroń, in the Spring Park (Polish: Park Zdrojowy) located right next to the Uzdrowisko Ustroń Health Resort, there is a mineral water drinking hall (Polish: Pijalnia Wód) and a saline water fountain.
The city boasts a charming market square with a beautiful city hall and an amphitheater. The historic St. Clement Church from 1787 and the nearby Apostle James the Greater Evangelical Church, which is the biggest place of worship in Ustroń, are worth a visit.
The visitors can also explore the “Stara Zagroda” (“Old Farmstead”) Ethnographic Museum, consisting of interesting wooden houses, which is located right next to Ustroń’s market square.
If you prefer to rest in the great outdoors, you will be delighted with the city’s surroundings. There are numerous mountain trails and walking paths. The picturesque surroundings and the beautiful landscapes are also a great place for bikers.
One of Ustroń’s biggest attractions is the Czantoria mountain (995 meters or ca. 3264 ft. above sea level). On its slopes, there is a summer toboggan run and a year-round chairlift that attracts winter sports enthusiasts in the snowy season. Another attraction is the Równica mountain. Its top can be reached by car. The mountain offers breathtaking views – as well as a mountain chalet, taverns and a shooting range for children.
